The site in Southwest Bali, is located in the Umalas / Kerobokan area. It is on average 45mins by car to the airport and 25mins to the beach. The area is predominantly residential with an array of cafes, and small restaurants nearby.
This design is based on an U-shaped floorplan, which feels very open from the first moment upon entering the property. This is marked by an entrance area with steps towards an initial garden with a pond and fountain feature. From there, one directions heads towards two ground level bedrooms, the other direction towards the main the main open plan living area that adjoins the kitchen and dining. This living area reaches up towards a double height space with a visual connection from the landing area above. The dining area is highlighted as it extends out towards the garden, as the pool reaches the designated garden area. Set into the side of this is a pool lounge with low level seating and cushions. At the opposite end of the site is a games pavilion in a curvaceous bamboo structure. This position allows this building to be a focal point from the main house.
